In 2000, the Tabor family, sensing God's call to Eastern Kentucky, packed up their trailer and moved to Clayhole, KY. They stumbled into the Clayhole GBC, and served that year as the interim pastor for that small church family.

In 2002, Pastor Mike, Connie, Philip, Vanessa, and Tiffany then moved to Jackson, KY about 20 minutes away, where Mike was working as a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant at the county hospital.

Salary Support Need:
Pastor Mike currently is working full-time as a Physical Therapist Assistant at a retirement home about 30 minutes north of Jackson. The church family has now grown to 75-100 people and the demands on Mike's time continue to grow. Mike senses God's call to full-time ministry. $17,000 has already been designated for this goal, and $23,000 is yet to be raised. Building Fund Need:
The Happy Church just financed the new property via a Land Contract with the sellers. The balance owed on the property is $230,000. Their goal is to pay off this Land Contract within the 5-year contract period. Ministry House Need:
The vacant house on the property is in need of having the inside "gutted" and remodeled. The outside needs a roof and some paint. Estimated materials would roughly be $10,000. We hope to use volunteer labor to complete this project in 2007. This house will most likely serve as a Youth House, as The Happy Church has had great success in reaching the youth of the community.
